Friends honor victim of Indianapolis murder-suicide

IMPD is investigating after two people died following an apparent murder-suicide on Indianapolis' east side Monday afternoon. Officers responded to a report of a shooting around 12:15 p.m. July 6 near East 13th Street and North Gladstone Avenue, near North Sherman Drive. An IMPD spokesperson confirmed responding officers located a man and woman who had been shot. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man was taken in critical condition to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A preliminary investigation indicated the man is believed to have shot the woman before shooting himself, the spokesperson said.
