NEW 1000 Hp Kimera K-39 Hypercar - V8 Twin-Turbo Engine by Koenigsegg - Sound & Presentation

At the 2026 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, Kimera Automobili unveiled the K-39, a road-legal hypercar that marks the Italian company's debut as a fully independent automotive manufacturer. The car abandons the restomod philosophy to be born from a blank sheet of paper, with its own chassis number, becoming a project that modernly reinterprets the legendary "Silhouette" racing cars of the 1980s, particularly the iconic Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo, and features pleasing references to the Ferrari F40 at the rear. Built entirely around a carbon fibre monocoque, with lines designed for optimal airflow management, it is equipped with a custom-developed twin-turbo V8 engine developed by Koenigsegg, capable of delivering 1,000 hp and 1,200 Nm of torque, in a car that weighs just 1,100 kg. Designed to celebrate motorsport, this is an even more extreme road-going version of the car, developed to compete in the famous Pikes Peak hill climb. The Kimera K-39 won the prestigious Concorso d'Eleganza Design Award in the "Concept Cars & Prototypes" category. This is the highest honour bestowed on modern cars and cutting-edge prototypes exhibited at the Cernobbio event. The award is particularly significant because it is chosen by public vote, directly from visitors and enthusiasts, in the gardens of Villa Erba. La vettura abbandona la filosofia del restomod per nascere da un foglio bianco, con un proprio numero di telaio, diventando un progetto che reinterpreta in chiave moderna le leggendarie auto da corsa "Silhouette" degli anni '80, in particolare l'iconica Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo, e presenta piacevoli richiami alla Ferrari F40 nella parte posteriore. Costruita interamente attorno a una monoscocca in fibra di carbonio, con linee progettate per un'ottimale gestione dei flussi d'aria, è equipaggiata con un propulsore V8 biturbo sviluppato su misura da Koenigsegg, capace di erogare 1.000 CV di potenza e 1.200 Nm di coppia massima, su un'auto che pesa solo 1.100 kg. Concepita per celebrare il motorsport, questa è la versione stradale dell'auto, ancora più estrema, che verrà sviluppata per gareggiare alla celebre cronoscalata di Pikes Peak. La Kimera K-39 ha vinto il prestigioso Concorso d'Eleganza Design Award nella categoria "Concept Cars & Prototypes".
