Then birds began arriving from everywhere. They drank the water and some even splashed around, bathing and flapping their wings happily. One by one, they came, enjoyed the water, and flew off again. Later, even a kangaroo appeared. It paused, drank calmly, and sat for a moment, observing its surroundings. After a final look around, it quietly moved on, leaving the peaceful water spot behind.
