Description
Welcome back to A Coffee/water With Pete! It’s afternoon coffee this week — water, actually — too many coffees already ☕💦
We’ve had a chaotic couple of weeks: compressor blew up, power out, and a ton of new work happening next door making lead paddles and file holders. But… the good stuff’s back.
Here’s what’s in this week’s update ⤵️
The Porsche 356/718 is officially locked to its new wheelbase — we’ve committed to 2211 mm (early 911 spec) for better stability.
Fabrication of the new outer and inner rocker sections — from CAD to laser-cut sheet, Pullmax edges, and shrinker-stretcher work.
We show the full process: from blueprint drawing → CAD → flat sheet → hand-formed rockers.
Why this build is a 4,000-hour journey — real craftsmanship, not just for YouTube.
Quick tour of the Melomotive lead paddles being made from Victorian Ash 🇦🇺.
Workshop upgrades: air-conditioning installed so we can keep working through the Aussie summer.
Plus: a poll/question at the end — we need your input before the next welding stage!
🎬 Early access on Patreon Friday night.
📺 Full YouTube video live Sunday 7:00 am (Sydney time)
Drop your thoughts on the poll question below — help us make the call before we fire up the welder!
