Officers Use Multiple Tactical Maneuvers To Stop Reckless Teen Driver

* (Disclaimer: The content in this video is intended for educational and informational purposes only) Oklahoma City, Oklahoma — On Sunday, February 15, 2026, shortly before 7 p.m., Oklahoma City Police Officers attempted to pull over a gray pickup driven by a 17-year-old near the downtown area, but the driver accelerated away instead of stopping. Investigators say the truck sped through intersections, ignored traffic signals, and at times traveled the wrong direction on city streets while reaching speeds far above posted limits. Officers deployed multiple Tactical Vehicle Interventions (TVI) in an effort to bring the pursuit to a halt. During one attempt, the fleeing vehicle collided with an unmarked patrol unit, though no serious injuries were reported. After several miles and roughly eight minutes, a final maneuver disabled the truck near Southwest 31st Street, where the teens were brought into custody.
