New Senate minority bloc trying to stage a counter-coup — Cayetano Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano claims some members of the new minority bloc were trying to stage a counter-coup. He said these senators were persuading majority bloc members to join them. The minority members, Cayetano said, even used what he described as “intimidation” in convincing some majority members to switch sides. He declined to disclose how many minority members were trying to dislodge the new Senate leadership.
