INGREDIENTS
Falafel:
- 4-5 Cloves of Garlic
- 1 Medium Onion
- 1/4 Cup Fresh Coriander/Dhaniya
- 2 Tbsp Mint/Pudina
- 1 Small Green Chilli
- 2 Cup Green Peas/Matar
- 1/2 Tsp Coriander Powder/Dhaniya Powder
- 1/4 Tsp Cumin Powder/Jeera Powder
- 2 Pinch Black Pepper/Kali Mirch
- 3-4 Tbsp Roasted Gram Flour/Sattu
- 1/4 Tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 Small Lemon
- Salt
- Oil/Ghee for shallow frying
Dip:
- 1/4 Cup Yogurt/Dahi
- 1 Small Garlic Clove
- 1 Tbsp Mint/Pudina
- A pinch of Black Pepper/Kali Mirch
- Few drops of Olive Oil
- Fresh Coriander/Dhaniya
- Salt
METHOD
- Put garlic, green peas, onion, green chilli, cumin powder, coriander powder, fresh coriander and mint into your chopper jar and chop till you get a coarse mixture.
- Add roasted chana dal powder and lemon juice. Mix well.
- Shape into small balls or tikkis.
- Add some oil to your appe pan and shallow fry these balls at medium flame till golden & crispy on the outside.
- If making tikkis, shallow fry on a tawa.
- To make dip, whisk thick yogurt until smooth. Add mint leaves, salt and black pepper. Mix well. Healthy & declious dip is ready.
- Serve the falafels with the dip & enjoy!
