Pregnant jaguar with injured jaw hunts along riverbank

Brazil is home to the Pantanal, the world's largest tropical wetland and the largest flooded grasslands. It is here that hundreds of jaguars thrive. They prowl along the riverbanks, hunting caiman, their principal source of food. This large female is pregnant. She also has an injured jaw but it does not stop her from being a successful predator. She was seen walking along this riverbank in full view of a boat full of Canadian tourists. Jaguars are enormous and ferocious cats and they are the top predators in this world.
