That was a massive female seal! She is so huge that she completely towers over the youngsters around her. We can only imagine how many fights she has won and how many obstacles she has overcome in her lifetime. As anticipated, she didn't go down easy and put up a massive fight against OCN rescuer Naude. It would have been an unfair tragedy if a tiny, bright yellow rope had ended the life of such a powerful animal.
