Displaced Palestinians struggle as rodents infest their tents

A number of displacement camps in the Gaza Strip are witnessing a widespread rodent infestation among the tents amid the accumulation of rubbish and the deterioration of health and environmental conditions, further exacerbating the suffering of thousands of displaced families. Displaced Palestinians say rats are now entering their tents on a daily basis, causing significant damage to blankets, clothing and food, while creating a constant state of fear among women and children, particularly at night. Several residents said the rodents had destroyed the few belongings inside the tents and gnawed through scarce food supplies.
