Let's take a walk around Old Town Benidorm and see what we can find Benidorm old town, also known as El Casco Antiguo, offers a striking contrast to the surrounding forest of skyscrapers and neon lights. Situated on a rocky promontory that separates the Levante and Poniente beaches, this historic heart of the city features a maze of narrow, winding cobblestone streets and whitewashed houses. Walking through its pedestrianized lanes, you find a more traditional Spanish atmosphere where the scent of fresh seafood and local tapas drifts from small, independent restaurants and family run cafes. The crown jewel of this district is the Balcon del Mediterraneo, a stunning white stone viewpoint perched at the edge of the cliffs where a 14th century fortress once stood to defend against pirates. This iconic balcony provides panoramic views of the sparkling blue sea and the island of Benidorm on the horizon.
