Hyper Space: Finsty Redlining the White Rim FKT.

Standing as one of the most fiercely contested FKT routes, the White Rim Trail in Moab, Utah stretches across 100 miles of sand and resting under the unforgiving desert sun. From early morning darkness to the stunning alpenglow, Russell ‘Finsty’ Finsterwald set out to leave his mark on the trail and take the win on a different kind of race - the White Rim FKT. Having been held by WorldTour-roadie-turned-gravelista, Pete Stetina, and current holder, Keegan Swenson, who has actually held the record twice. It’s a nearly-100 mile loop in Canyonlands National Park, Moab, and the record is 5 hours, 28 minutes, and 17 seconds. The terrain is stark, martian-like.
