And that is exactly what iman asks of all of us. Ousama Alshurafa uses one of the most vivid moments in the story of Musa (peace be upon him) to explain something about the nature of true faith that cannot be reached through logic alone. The staff was beneficial. Musa knew it, used it, depended on it. Throwing it away made no sense. And then to pick up a snake, something visibly harmful and dangerous, made even less sense. But Allah was not asking Musa to make sense of it. He was asking him to follow the command regardless of what his eyes were telling him. Because what the eyes perceive, the apparent benefit and the apparent harm, is not the full picture. Allah is the One controlling everything behind what appears. The staff, the snake, the outcome, all of it is in His hands. The lesson is about learning to submit to the command even when the perception points the other way. Ousama connects this directly to our own lives. When finances are tight, Allah says spend. When the situation looks impossible, iman says move anyway.
