A National Park Service Ranger on a climbing patrol fell into a crevasse Thursday afternoon on Mt. McKinley and has died, according to a National Park Service press release. Jurors in Anchorage began hearing testimony this week in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of Petr Kellner, a Czech billionaire who was among five people killed in a March 2021 heli-skiing helicopter crash (https://www.alaskasnewssource.com/2021/03/28/five-dead-in-helicopter-crash-near-knik-glacier-one-survivor-in-serious-condition/)  near the Knik Glacier. A federal prisoner serving 20 years in a New York prison and his South Dakota mother are both on Alaska’s August primary ballot — and neither have ever set foot in the state.
