Surrendering To My Stutter On Stage

After years of speech therapy, most people don't even notice my stutter anymore. If you’ve been to a show or seen my videos online, it probably seems all but nonexistent. But speech blocks are unpredictable. Stress, exhaustion, heightened emotions, or at other times for seemingly no reason at all it can bring it right back to the surface without warning. Our final tour weekend in Phoenix was one of those nights. Leading up to showtime, I was paralyzed with anxiety and fear, praying in the green room just to get through it. But the grace, patience, and love I received from the audience that night was more than I ever could have dreamed of.
