Japanese Red Fox Pair Prowl around Snow Field at Night in Mid Winter

One or two Japanese red foxes (Vulpes vulpes japonica, family Canidae) prowling around the snow field under a giant tree of Kaki Persimmon (Diospyros kaki, family Ebenaceae) in search of food. Because the dropped kaki fruits were buried under deep snow, the fox seemed unable to find them. Captured with my old trailcam at night of mid-January 2025 in Japan.
