Description

► Prince Harry has lost his legal battle against the Daily Mail publisher, Associated Newspapers (ANL). In a judgment handed down on Tuesday afternoon, Mr Justice Nicklin ruled all articles published by ANL had not been based on unlawful information gathering. Paul Dacre, ANL’s editor-in-chief, said the case cost “well over £50 million and wasted a huge amount of valuable court time” and argued it should “never have been brought to trial”. The Duke of Sussex alleged 14 articles published by the Mail between 2001 and 2013, were based on information gained through unlawful methods. His court action was supported by six other high-profile figures, including Sir Elton John, his husband David Furnish and campaigner Baroness Doreen Lawrence. The newspaper was accused of phone hacking, landline tapping and using private investigators to gain information such as medical records. Mr Justice Nivklin said in his ruling: “As with each of the claimants, Prince Harry has limited evidence to give on the contentious matters in dispute.” #Royal #RoyalFamily #news #PrinceHarry ► Have you subscribed to 5 News?: http://bit.ly/5NewsSub ► Follow 5 News on Twitter to keep up to date with the latest news - https://twitter.com/5_News Message us on Facebook to share your opinion - https://www.facebook.com/c5News See our latest pictures and videos on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/c5news/ ► About 5 News: We bring you the stories that matter to you, from around the world and across the UK. 🎥 We post daily playlists with the biggest news of the day, interviews, special reports and investigations. 📺 Catch us on TV on Channel 5 every weekday 5-6pm 📱 Get in touch with us on WhatsApp at +44 7555 500 501 🎧 Listen to "How Did We Get Here?
