Following the Boulder incident, where one of the first opening stunts led to the boulder nearly hitting guests sitting in the stands, only stopped by a brave cast member who was injured in the process, the Indiana Jones EPIC Stunt Show Spectacular was permanently modified to prevent any sort of incident from occurring in the future. This included removing the boulder scene and replacing it with pyrotechnics. These pyrotechnics were originally used earlier in the show, but were modified to act as the finale of the boulder scene. The Indiana Jones EPIC Stunt Show has seen multiple modifications to its show over the years, primarily by removing certain stunts or effects due to safety or maintenance concerns.
