Description

Meet Ella Lloyd. At just 20 years old, Lloyd is a F1 Academy (McLaren) and British F4 (Rodin Motorsport) driver. Hailing from Pontypridd in Wales, she only started racing competitively in 2022, but has risen through the ranks, first named as a McLaren Development Driver, then making her F1 Academy Grid debut in 2025. She's also taken home the Female Driver Trophy at the Formula Winter series multiple times. Her life could have taken a different sporting turn. As a youngster, her chosen sports were showjumping and skiing (she won gold at the 2019 Welsh Skiing Championships). But growing up, her father was a rally driver. Watching him gave her the confidence to have a go herself. Now she's behind the wheel, and inspiring a whole new generation of young female drivers. Ymlaen. Celebrating the drive, resilience and ambition of Wales' sporting women.
