Ducati Desmo450 MX Motocross Motorcycle Launched - Explained All Spec, Features And More

Ducati has showcased its first-ever motocross motorcycle, the Desmo450 MX, in India. The bike made its Indian debut at the grand finale of the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) Season 2, which was held in Calicut on 21 December. The Desmo450 MX marks Ducati’s entry into the motocross segment and was unveiled in front of a large crowd at the championship-deciding race. With this debut, Ducati aims to tap into the growing interest in off-road and motorsport culture. The motorcycle is powered by a 449.6cc single-cylinder engine and is the only bike in its class to feature a Desmodromic valve system. Ducati says the engine has been designed to deliver strong yet manageable power, making it suitable for both professional racers and amateur riders. The bike also uses a lightweight aluminium frame to aid handling and performance. In terms of technology, the Desmo450 MX comes equipped with advanced electronics, including a traction control system, a first for a motocross motorcycle. Ducati has confirmed that the Desmo450 MX will be launched in India in the first quarter of 2026.
