These RC Planes Are Almost The Same… But One Stands Out

Even though I’m flying the Flex Innovations Laser 60E in this video, this really turns into a bigger conversation around the Avios Extra NG and the Flex Cap 232. When you actually compare these planes side by side, there are some very noticeable similarities in the overall layout, molded airframe, and internal structure. It’s something that stands out immediately and makes for a really interesting discussion. At the same time, where Flex really separates itself is in the details — things like the electronics, landing gear setup, and especially the Aura system. Those differences have a big impact on how the airplane actually flies and feels in the air. The reason I’m showing the Laser here is to give you a better idea of what Flex is doing across their lineup as a whole, not just with one model. I don’t have direct insight into how these designs were developed or brought to market, but from what I can see, there are definitely similarities that are hard to ignore. That’s why I always think it’s worth taking a closer look and understanding what each company is offering before making a decision.
