Thermophotovoltaics and Thermal Batteries for Energy Storage: The BLAZETEC Project

Thermophotovoltaic technology enables the conversion of high-temperature heat into electricity, creating new pathways for energy efficiency and decarbonization. In this video, researchers and engineers from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Thermophoton, a spin-off from UPM, present key advances in thermophotovoltaic cells, thermal batteries, and industrial heat recovery, developed at the Instituto de Energía Solar.
