Spring Statement: 'A Chancellor in denial' Reeves insists her economic plan is working

“This government has the right economic plan for our country” said Rachel Reeves during her Spring Statement. She outlined updated growth forecasts from the Office for Budget Responsibility: 1.1% in 2026; 1.6% in both 2027 and 2028; and 1.5% in both 2029 and 2030. The forecasts did not include energy price jumps triggered by war in the Middle East.
