🐕‍🦺 The Canine Companions Collegiate Puppy Raising program is looking for more students at colleges and universities to raise #puppies and prepare them to become #servicedogs. As a puppy raiser, you'll learn valuable skills such as: 🐾 Canine development, learning theory and medical care ⏰ Time management 📃 Record keeping and reporting 📢 PR and communication 💪 Leadership and teamwork Student volunteers raise puppies until they're 16 to 18 months old, when they enter professional training at one of our training centers, where they'll remain for six to nine months. At the end of their training journey, they'll match with a child, adult or veteran with a disability as a #servicedog - provided to clients at no cost.
