My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” ➤ Peace begins when we lift our eyes from problems to the Lord. 📖 Hebrews 12:1–2 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us.” “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith...” ➤ It isn't just diverting our eyes from things, it is choosing to focus on God 📖 Job 3:25 “For the thing I feared has overtaken me, and what I dreaded has befallen me.” ➤ Both Fear and Faith are trusting the unseen to come to pass, and will align us to achieve or arrive at the outcome we focus on. Choose to focus on God and what He has promised 📖 Isaiah 41:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” ➤ God’s presence is the antidote to being overwhelmed. 📖 Isaiah 55:8–9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” ➤ God invites us to trust His higher perspective. 📖 James 1:5 “Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” ➤ God gives wisdom freely to those who ask in faith. 📖 Proverbs 3:5–6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” ➤ Trust replaces confusion with divine direction. 📖 Psalm 18:1–2 “I love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” ➤ Love flows from knowing God as our strength and defender. 📖 Revelation 19:6 “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.” ➤ Faith and focus on God lead to Worship, which rises when we remember God is sovereign. ✨ Reflection God, I Look to You is a prayer for moments when clarity feels distant and strength feels thin. Instead of striving for answers, the song teaches us to shift our gaze—from uncertainty to the One who reigns above it all. God promises wisdom when we ask, vision when we trust, and peace when we remember that He is our rock and shield. When we look to Him, fear loosens its grip, faith steadies our hearts, and worship becomes our response. We are not overwhelmed because our help comes from the Lord. 🙏 Prayer God, I look to You today. When I feel uncertain or overwhelmed, lift my eyes to see as You see. Grant me Your wisdom, steady my heart with Your peace, and remind me that You reign forever. I choose to look to You, to trust You and to love You all my days.
