#gridsparta #bikies #mongolsmc In Perth’s Magistrates Court, heavily tattooed Mongols associate Dayne Brajkovich has been fined after police found a small amount of testosterone in his car on a busy city street. The 46 year old admitted to possessing a prohibited drug following an incident on Oxford Street in Leederville on February 11. Police located a vial containing 200mg of testosterone inside a satchel, along with items linking it to him. His lawyer told the court the substance was minor, worth about $200, and had originally been prescribed for testosterone replacement therapy due to past injuries. However, the prescription had expired, which led to the charge. Magistrate Andrew Matthews fined him $750. Brajkovich left court wearing an NRL Raiders jersey, a look often linked to efforts by some Mongols associates to avoid restrictions on bikie colours. He refused to speak to media, instead making a gesture as he walked off. The following day, he was back at court supporting associate Troy Mercanti, who is currently on trial over an alleged pub brawl that has taken an unexpected turn. Mercanti, 58, is facing charges tied to an incident at the Como Hotel on April 15 last year. Police allege the fight caused public fear and significant property damage, including smashed glass panels and doors. CCTV played in court showed Mercanti entering the outdoor area, approaching a man seated at a table, before the two began exchanging punches. The situation quickly escalated into a physical struggle, with both men crashing into tables and moving into a nearby carpark before members of the public intervened. In a surprising development, the other man involved, David Morris, was called by the defence and claimed he was the one who started the fight. He told the court he had known Mercanti for decades and admitted there had been ongoing issues between them. Morris said he struck first with the intention of hurting him and would have continued if he could. He denied being linked to the Rebels bikie club and said the incident had nothing to do with club rivalries. Prosecutors challenged his claims, arguing he was not telling the truth and maintaining Mercanti was the aggressor. A bartender who witnessed the incident supported that version, describing the altercation as a full on and aggressive fight, and saying Mercanti appeared to be attacking while the other man tried to defend himself and get away. The prosecution argued Mercanti had several chances to disengage but chose not to. The defence, however, maintained Morris initiated the violence and said Mercanti reacted in self-defence. A decision in the case is expected on May 11. While the trial continued inside the courtroom, outside Brajkovich was restrained, arrested, and taken into police custody. Authorities have not revealed the reason for the arrest.
