Blizzard Casualty: NYC Parks Truck Swallowed by Sinkhole! ❄️

Walking through downtown Manhattan during the historic 2026 Blizzard on February 23, we stumbled upon a shocking sight at City Hall Park. An NYC Parks Department truck—the same one I caught on camera in an earlier video, clearing the snow—had partially fallen into a massive sidewalk sinkhole. 00:00 NYC Blizzard of 2026 Walk 01:49 The NYC Parks Truck in the Sinkhole The weight of the truck (which was hauling sand for the icy roads) caused a sidewalk grate to give way right at the southern tip of the park. It’s a surreal moment because I had walked right over this exact spot just minutes before it happened.
