President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Leaves White House After 2-Hour Meeting with Trump After a one-on-one meeting in the Oval Office and a working lunch with delegations, U.S. President Donald Trump escorted President Erdoğan to the door. The talks at the White House lasted 2 hours and 20 minutes. Following their discussion, Trump chatted briefly with Erdoğan at the entrance, shook hands, and waved as Erdoğan departed in his car. Trump also shook hands with members of Erdoğan’s delegation one by one. When asked by reporters how the meeting went, Trump replied: *“It was a great meeting.”*
