Hundreds defy NSW protest ban and condemn attacks on freedom of speech

Hundreds of human rights and solidarity activists defied the Chris Minns NSW Labor government's ban on protests on January 16 at Sydney Town Hall. The protesters also rejected the federal Labor governments latest attack on freedom of speech in a omnibus bill it is trying through rush through Parliament in response to Zionist weaponisation of the Bondi shooting to ban protests against Israel's genocide in Gaza. The rally was endorsed by a wide range of campaign groups and progressive parties, including the Greens and the Socialist Alliance. Video by Peter Boyle for Green Left.
