Description
I take the RS9 Vampir to the range and dig into what makes this Bosnian DA/SA 9mm interesting and expensive. Designed and made in the Republic of Srpska for professional use, it has been in service with Bosnian Special Anti-Terrorist Units since 2020. Imported by TCH Arms and built by TRB, it traces lineage to the Zastava CZ-99 but is a modernized design with a shared decocker/slide-stop lever, polygonal rifling, 18+1 capacity, and Mec-Gar mags. TCH claims this exact T&E gun ran 12,000 rounds, while the threaded RS9X ran 7,000 with 4,500 suppressed. On target it feels P226/REX-01 adjacent with a stronger single-action pull than my German P226. Downsides at $1,400 include no optics-ready option and thin aftermarket.
