Stay In the Strike Zone Longer with a Bucket

Drift fishing is a good way to stay stealthy on the flats. But windy days can result in speed drifting and passing the fish by before you’re ever able to get a lure or bait in front of them. If you don’t have a traditional drift sock, or want to save a few dollars, use a 5-gallon bucket instead. Almost everyone has one they aren’t using. Tie it midship, toss it in the water and go. This position will help you drift evenly, versus tying it to the bow or stern. Have you tried this method?
