U.S. arrests suspect in 2012 Benghazi attack

Attorney General Pam Bondi on Friday announced the arrest of Zubayar Al-Bakoush, who the administration is describing as one of the “key participants” in the 2012 attack on a U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya. “Al-Bakoush will now face American justice on American soil,” the attorney general said at a press conference alongside FBI Director Kash Patel and U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro. Mr. Al-Bakoush, identified as a member of an extremist militia in Libya, was taken into custody around 3 am ET Friday at a Washington airfield.
