I have a Breville Cafe Roma Espresso maker model ESP8 XL /A that stopped working. At first the pump sounded like it was working but would then simply stop pushing anything through. No crema, nothing. After cleaning thoroughly, descaling, and even replacing the silicon gasket, I realized there might be a pressure loss somewhere in the internal tubing system. It was a deteriorated, heat-damaged zip-tie that connected a water tube right near the heating block. It had been had broken down, resulting in a pressure loss at that tube end.
