Australian Raven Hurry Up Im Hungry

this is Marcel about first week september after finding him and very hungry,to the point of being pushy,as well as being chatty & says "something" which sounds like "hurry up". he is also beginning to start showing behavior that is apparently typical to ravens,as it is with most other scavengers,which is to keep taking food even when full then go off & secrete it somewhere,a secret stash for later.after filling his beak to overflow he is seen walking to the other end of the tramp where he pokes his beak into one of the spring connection spaces where he deposits the chicken livers he was eating to be enjoyed at a later date.he did not seem to be too fussed about finding his stash this time but in the future this may not be the case. Marcel was found on the ground in the last week of july after a very stormy night after ringing a few places i was instructed to take him to specific vet surgery where i was advised that he was a raven,healthy,unlikely to have fallen to ground & he was a fledgling & " should be returned to where he was found his parents will look after him ". unfortunately this was not the case and it was 4/5 days before the parents came near him,he also had a talon missing from a rear toe that became quite swollen & infected in the weeks that followed needing treatment,it was paw paw ointment that cleared it up after having no success with other conventional treatments.Although the only sure fire way to accurately identify the gender of a raven is by blood/dna test Marcel has been declared a male for a number of reasons with the primary one coming from my 15 yr old daughter who has declared that " that bird has to be a male.its just so annoying " fortunately she avoids Marcel otherwise he might think his name is/was " stupid bird " admittedly the poor kid was swooped by a maggie as a five year old & it appears that it has left her quite scarred.
