Description
An underwater film of 190 tonnes of herring being ''swum''. This process was practiced during the summer fishings of the 1990's when a catch of herring would be swum for around 18 hours to allow time for the stomach contents of red shrimp to be digested and passed. This system stopped the herring's belly bursting during the landing and handling system ashore. Burst bellies would inevitably result in fish meal.
