After days of fading hope, a 43-year-old man has remarkably been rescued in Venezuela more than a week after twin earthquakes struck the country. Hernán Alberto Gil Flores was freed from under a partially collapsed shopping centre in the hardest hit state of La Guaira in Venezuela's north. Talks between the US and Iran have been put on hold as funeral services are held for the country's former supreme leader. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed by US-Israeli strikes in February.
