Sydney to Canberra by train | Xplorer First Class review

Find out what it's like to travel by train between Sydney and Canberra. Most people drive or fly - but the train, which goes via the Southern Highlands, has many benefits. The scenery is green and very enjoyable. The Canberra Xplorer service operates three times per day, each way. The service is operated by NSW TrainLink using a three-car Xplorer diesel multiple unit (DMU). The Xplorer diesel railcars were built in Dandenong, Victoria, beginning operation in 1993. The sets were refurbished in 2007-08 and have a maximum speed of 145kmh.
