Description
Last week, I went out on Wednesday to catch some local siren tests since it was the first Wednesday of the month. For my first test of the year, I decided to head to this Whelen Vortex in an industrial park on the north side of Athens to film it, since it'd been a while since I last recorded a Vortex. It appears this siren originally had a finback on it, based on the length of the bolts on the cover for the drivers, though obviously that was removed at some point when the rotator was replaced. This siren fired right on up at 9:15 AM, and, I must say, I love the great echos this siren made off of the surrounding industrial buildings.
Limestone County, AL tests on the first Wednesday of the month at 9:15 AM, weather permitting.
