How to Center Using Two Lumps of Clay

This week, I'm throwing the 'base' bowl shape that'll be trimmed excessively in next weekend's video, provided they dry without warping too much... I'm about to embark on an online shop restock, which means my time over the next fortnight will be a bit stretched, so follow along on this simple process of throwing a large bowl, beginning with demonstrating an interesting technique for centring larger masses of clay, whereupon two lumps are essentially jammed together and centred one after the other. I also discuss opening up, shaping and tidying up this shape before prying them precariously off the wheel and then how I let vessels like this dry very slowly for a few days, so they don't warp or distort, which for a form like this is crucial, as otherwise trimming the distinct shape will be nearly impossible.
