Police swarm Ann Widdecombe's home as murder probe launched | SWNS

Police remain at the Devon home of former MP Ann Widdecombe as detectives continue a murder investigation into her death. Officers were called to the property in Haytor on Thursday, where Widdecombe was found dead with serious injuries. A cordon remains in place while forensic examinations and house-to-house enquiries continue. A 26-year-old man was initially arrested on suspicion of murder, but has since been released from custody and is no longer under investigation, police said. Detectives have appealed for witnesses and anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage to come forward.
