Woodpecker Thinks He's A Dog

Hey, let’s go into the woods and see if we can teach a woodpecker to play catch. First toss… the woodpecker gets his beak on it, but can’t hold on. That’s a fumble. Second toss… and it’s an incomplete pass. And I’m analyzing it like it’s Monday Night Football. Like “He’s gotta secure that catch before he turns upfield.” Third toss… another miss. Now after failing, we gotta ask: What can be learned? And how can we make it better? Maybe the peantus we were throwing were too big. This deer has been watching the whole disaster unfold. We toss the peanut and she’s loving it. Tail wagging, happy as can be. Now the deer’s outperforming the bird. And apparently this is my life now. I’m throwin’ peanuts at wildlife like an unemployed Disney princess. Meanwhile the woodpecker flies up into a tree to reevaluate his career, like some dramatic athlete after a bad playoff game. So this time we grab a smaller peanut. Nice little underhand toss… And BOOM. The woodpecker snags it right outta the air. Suddenly we’re all celebrating like we just won the Super Bowl. Yup. we’re doing the Lord’s work over here.
