Description

How to replace the air filter on a third-generation Honda Fit equipped with a 1.5L 4 cylinder. This is the 2015 model. A dirty air filter will cause a decrease in performance, poor fuel economy, hard starting, and delayed throttle response. An air filter should be changed every 32,000km or 20,000 miles but this will depend on what type of conditions your vehicle is exposed to. More dirt and dust in the air will require a shorter interval. #honda #hondafit #enginemaintenance Amazon Affiliated Links: US: https://amzn.to/3XgAEjZ Canada: https://amzn.to/3Tp2j15 Website: http://4diyers.com Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/4diyers Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/4diyers Twitter: https://twitter.com/4DIYers Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/4diyers/ Tumblr: http://4diyers.tumblr.com Pintrest: https://www.pinterest.com/4diyers/ Tools/Supplies Needed: -new air filter Procedure: Open the hood and the air box will be located on the right side next to the battery.  There are four clips in total, two at the rear on the sides and two directly on the front.  Lift up the cover and remove it from the rubber duct on the rear.  The part isn’t needed but you can unclip the sensor. I just did this for a better viewing angle. The tab is depressed and then pull the connector straight off.  Remove the old air filter and as you can see it’s quite dirty. If the air box is dirty, then I would recommend cleaning it.  Install the new air filter and ensure it’s properly seated.  Reinstall the cover, and lock those clips into place.  Finally, plug in the electrical connector and you’re officially done.  Thank you to all those who watch my videos and support my content.
