This was ASVEL’s fifth straight win over Efes, which improved the team to a league-worst 8-22 record, while Efes dropped to 9-21. ASVEL led for the majority of the night but never more than 8 points in the second half. Behind Braian Angola and his personal-best 26 points, the visitors held off Efes’s late-game charge to pick up their second road win of the season. Angola scored 26 points, Zac Seljaas netted 15 and Thomas Heurtel had 14 points and 7 assists in the win. Sehmus Hazer and his career-high 20 points were the main reason why Efes came back into the game. Saben Lee was a force with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, while Rolands Smits scored 12 in defeat.
