Description
We’re hands-on with Apple’s new release of the MacBook Pro models, and yes they’re more expensive this year. Here’s by how much below:
M5 MacBook Pro: $1,699 ($100 increase from M4)
M5 Pro MacBook Pro: $2,199 ( $200 increase from the M4 Pro)
M5 Max MacBook Pro: $3,599, ($400 from the M4 Max)
There are new chip options in the MacBook Pro models; the M5 Pro and M5 Max. Both include an 18-core CPU, with up to a 20-core GPU in the M5 Pro and up to a 40-core GPU in the M5 Max. All of the M5 MacBook Pro models got a base storage increase, as well. They now start at 1TB of storage, rather than 512GB. Will it all even out in the end? We’ll have to see in our reviews.
