Description

Amazon SVP of devices & Alexa, Panos Panay, says Alexa+ is already moving toward a more proactive AI assistant — one that learns users’ patterns and can eventually act before being asked. Speaking with CNBC’s Arjun Kharpal on “The Tech Download,” Panay said the more people use Alexa Plus, the better it gets at understanding them. Over time, he said, Alexa could move from waiting for a command to “raising her hand” when it can help. But Panay said Amazon has to be careful: Not every customer wants the same level of proactivity. Some users want a simple assistant that responds only when asked, while others want Alexa to “do it all.” “I think that world is coming,” Panay said. “I think it’s already happening.” Watch the full interview on “The Tech Download" link below and wherever you get your podcasts. #CNBC #CNBCPodcast #TheTechDownload ----- Subscribe: @cnbci CNBC International Live: @cnbcinternationalive LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/cnbc/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@cnbc Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cnbc Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cnbc Threads: https://www.threads.net/@cnbc X: https://twitter.com/CNBC Telegram: https://t.me/cnbc
