The Warrior Within, Siva Afi - DZO Arles Lustre

I always feel inspired by other artists and locations. To collab with these guys in Oahu, at the same location they filmed Jumanji on a late afternoon improptu is one of the reasons I love filmmaking so much. Some things just can’t be planned until you get there and then it all falls into place. This was a self funded piece for the love of filmmaking, cinematography and indigenous / Polynesian culture, made possible thanks to the performers and crew who gave their time. Thank you @hale_676 and the Siva Afi crew for putting it on for this. I hope the world gets to feel how powerful and immersive this practise is. Filmed on the new @dzofilm Arles Lustre, just released! All these shots were on the 50mm and 75mm living around T2.8 which I think is the sweet spot. I didn’t run any filters, the character of these lenses give off a dreamy feel yet still with good contrast and skintones.
