Antonov AN-124 parked and departing Ottawa International Airport CYOW

Views of two Antonov AN-124 aircraft in Ottawa, Ontario. One is registered RA-82078 and the other is RA-82045. They are operated by Volga-Dnepr Group, Moscow. The An-124 Ruslan was designed as a strategic military freighter and is the largest mass-produced aircraft in the world. The AN-225 variant is larger, with one in service. The AN-124 has been in regular service since 1986 with around 40 flying today. Ottawa receives several visits a year from AN-124 aircraft, possibly to deliver space industry or military cargo. The aircraft departing was seen in November 2011.
