Watch Live: SpaceX launches reconnaissance satellites for NRO on Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg SFB

Watch live coverage as SpaceX launches a Falcon 9 rocket from California with an undisclosed number of reconnaissance satellites for the United States' National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and its proliferated architecture satellite constellation. These are believed to be Starshield satellites, a government variant of the Starlink satellites. Liftoff from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 16, at 8:18 p.m. PST / 11:18 p.m. EST (0418 UTC on Jan. 17). The first-stage booster, tail number B1100, making its second flight, will land back at Landing Zone 4 (LZ-4) about 7.5 minutes into the flight. The NROL-105 mission trajectory will follow the coast of California, following a south-easterly path upon departure from Vandenberg.
