Why are Gameoverse Fans upset over the Fan Service in the Pilot?

Recently glitch productions fans have been upset over the amount of fan service in their latest gameoverse pilot. What’s going on? Let me explain. So glitch shows are known to have some fan service scenes that generate alot of hype and discussion, with good examples being maid jax and the beach episode in the digital circus. Glitch’s latest pilot which came out a day ago called gameoverse took this to a next level, having a beach episode in it’s pilot. There’s plenty of memorable scenes, like kit’s transformations, her various outfits, and the majority of the episode has kit and miss info wearing swimsuits. This led to a bunch of backlash from fans. Fans brought up how only the two female characters wear swimsuits and have the same body type. This image was passed around, poking fun at how male characters get varied designs while women all get the same stock standard appearance. And one tweet said that the shows male creators deliberately created a goonbait female main character. This led to Ashley, the artist who designed the swimsuits for the episode to reply debunking the argument. The original critique vanished probably out of shame. The digital circus’s creator gooseworx came out with a tweet saying she wished she had put more fan service into her show, which went viral. Obviously i agree with the cast and crew here, the criticisms are a bit nonsense. There’s plenty of variety within the designs of all the characters, and the outfits made sense within the context of the episode, they’re on a beach world. It also felt like a reference to early 2000’s cartoons, which alot of people would appreciate. It comes across as a bit concerning to see some attractive female characters and immediately write them off as goon bait. It’s also a shame that it’s been just 24 hours and gameoverse has already inherited the annoying vocal minority part of the fandom that plagues their other shows. So what do you think?
