Monroe Street Railroad Crossing #2, Huntsville, AL

*originally recorded on 2-4-26* Signal on the left: 1.5 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Dialight Ball LEDs and 1 Safetran 12x20 inch light with a Dialight Ball LED. Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with Dialight Ball LEDs and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell. After catching the HMCR at Drake Avenue, I decided to race up to this crossing to see if I could beat them here, which I was thankfully just able to do. Here we get to see the HMCR once again, this time at the ninth crossing I filmed on this day. As you can see, nothing too major has changed to the equipment here since I last recorded it. However, it appears that the detection equipment has thankfully been fixed, but now it seems that this crossing doesn't deactivate until the train has cleared the circuit for the neighboring Heart of Huntsville Drive crossing as well, based on how long the crossing remained active after the train passed it. https://www.rxrsignals.com/Alabama/G-Q/Huntsville/Monroe2/ If you like my videos, feel free to leave me a tip on Ko-Fi!
